A postdoctoral position is available in the laboratory of Professor Philip Woodman in collaboration with Dr Chiara Francavilla to study how the endosomal sorting and down-regulation of epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) is controlled by EGFR signalling. The project will identify how EGFR-dependent signalling controls the trafficking of the activated receptor to the multivesicular body, en route to the lysosome. The project will utilise mass spectrometry to identify new components involved in EGFR transport and to understand how these components are regulated. The project will also apply a range of other biochemical, imaging and molecular approaches. This position provides an opportunity to develop skills across a range of cellular approaches. It is available for up to 2.5 years, and is available from 1st February 2019. Experience in molecular biology and cell biology is essential.
